While recently working on a singles cover project, Jared Putnam of The March Divide decided to revisit a couple of covers, from years past. One of these was a cover of “Love Song” (by The Cure). Originally recorded in 1999 by Level, Putnam’s band at the time, for a tribute to The Cure EP, released by Ballyhoo Withdraw Records early the next year. This hard to find cover has been remastered, by Mike Majors. “Over a long period of time, I plan to cover all of The Cure’s album Disintegration,” says Putnam. “I thought it was a good opportunity to get these two more in line with what I’m hoping to do.”
